THE CHURCH OF TRINITY IN THE SELKUP VILLAGE OF IVANKINO – ONE OF THE FIRST ORTHODOX TEMPLES IN NARYM AREA // Tomsk Journal of Linguistics and Anthropology. 2014. Issue 3 (5). P. 68-75

The paper reviews the history of the church of Trinity in the village (yurts) of Ivankino, which is one of the first orthodox churches in Narym trans-Ob area. The opening of the church in the native (Selkup) population area marks the intensification of the Christianization of the middle-Ob Selkups in the XVIII century. The account summarizes the archive data supplemented by the field materials of the author concerning the church.

SELKUP YURTS IVANKINA ON OB IN THE LIGHT OF HISTORICAL, ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC DATA // Tomsk Journal of Linguistics and Anthropology. 2015. Issue 1 (7). P. 48-57

This paper is devoted to the history of the Ivankins’ yurts, who were the center of the Selkup concentration and the keepers of the native Sheshkup dialect in XIX–XX centuries. The history of collecting archaeological, linguistic and ethnographic data on the population of the area in different historical periods are examined in the paper.Total information resulting from analysis of the complex collected materials allow to draw conclusions about the degree of knowledge of this issue.

TRADITIONAL RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AND RITES OF SHESHKUPS / SHESHKUMS ACCORDING TO THE DATA OF FIELD ETHNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS OF THE XX–XXI CENTURIES // Tomsk Journal of Linguistics and Anthropology. 2021. Issue 4 (34). P. 168-179

This paper is devoted to the study of the issue about traditional views and rituals of the ethnographic (dialectal-local) group of Sheshkups / Sheshkums. Facts about the purpose of sacred places in the vicinity of the village Ivankino, based on the analysis of research literature and field ethnographic material collected by various researchers-selkupologists, were revealed. In this study, it was possible to determine the peculiarities of the religious beliefs of the Middle Ob Selkups: they left baskets with family figures of spirits-helpers not only in attics, but also in almost impassable hillock sogra, and “hung” spirits on birch trees. The collected information allows speaking about the preservation of traditional beliefs (ideas about domestic spirits-helpers, places of worship) among local residents until the end of the 20th century, as evidenced by materials recorded from informants of the village Ivankino even in the 21st century.
